So even though Julia has had potty training down perfect as far as no accidents, I have been doing all the other steps for her. So yesterday, I made a list of the 30 steps to using the restroom and I let her do all of them except #10 (wiping). I was surprised and proud of her that she was capable of doing all these things on her own, or at least with direction. I thought getting on the toilet would be a challenge, but it was quite simple for her. Unlocking the door and opening it was the only thing she got frustrated with and said, "mommy do it." I still plan on following/leading/assisting her to/with the bathroom for a long time, especially at public restrooms.
And today, I put an end to sippy cups at the kitchen table. She did pretty good, and nothing spilled on the ground. In fact, she liked drinking out of this small plastic Tigger & Pooh cup, and liked it even more the second time when I gave her a straw.
